Clear and Straight-forward Bible Teaching

We believe God uses the message of the Bible to both create and strengthen our faith in Christ. When the Bible is clearly explained, God uses it to change our lives, equip us to love our neighbors, and prepare us for heaven. For that reason, the Bible holds the central place in our worship service. We read it, sing it, and preach it, so that God can transform our minds and hearts. Preaching the Bible may not be popular these days, but God changed lives for thousands of years this way and this continues even today.

Reverent and Simple Worship

We take worship seriously because God takes worship seriously. God commands us to worship him in “reverence and awe.” God is holy and awesome. Even his angels are overwhelmed by his beauty and majesty. That doesn’t mean we lack joy. We indeed rejoice in the Lord but also remember that God is King of the Universe and deserves respect and honor.

Our worship is simple. We only worship God the way he commands. God commands us to read and preach Scripture, pray, sing praise, receive the sacraments, and give alms. In worship we only ask you to do what the Bible clearly commands so that your conscience is kept free from man-made traditions.

A Friendly Community

We are a warm and friendly congregation. We come from all walks of life. We love to have visitors. If you tell us beforehand that you are visiting we would gladly arrange lunch for you with our pastor, elders, or another church family. We have monthly luncheons, occasional events for fellowship, and smaller group studies.

We are sinners just like everyone else with similar struggles and problems. We are not perfect people. We are sinners in need of a Savior. But we have joy and peace because of God’s mercy to us in Christ, who is slowly healing us of our sin and self-righteousness, and changing us to love God and our neighbors the way we should. God matures and grows our faith through Christian friendship and fellowship. We encourage one another, hold each other accountable, and use our God-given abilities and opportunities to help each other live and grow, and show compassion in our local community.

If you are looking for a church home or just learning more about Christianity, please come and visit us, and get to know us, and think about becoming a part of our church family.
